Keavy Martin teaches Indigenous literatures at the University of Alberta, in Treaty 6 and Métis territory. Her 2012 monograph, Stories in a New Skin: Approaches to Inuit Literature, won the Gabrielle Roy Prize for literary criticism in English. A settler scholar committed to fostering respectful relationships between Indigenous knowledges and academia, Martin currently leads a collaborative SSHRC Insight Grant-funded project on Indigenous arts and the problem of ‘reconciliation’.
