Front Row at SS Daley, Harry Styles Pairs Mega Menswear with a Classic Old Sneaker

Steven Stokey-Daley has had a big 24 hours. After receiving the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design yesterday, he then showed off his SS Daley brand’s spring/summer 2025 collection at London Fashion Week. And in the front row was one of the brand’s biggest fans: Harry Styles.

Styles has been a fan of SS Daley since the beginning. When the label was founded in 2020, the three-time Grammy winner wore some of his early pieces in the music video for his track “Golden,” which was filmed in Portofino. “One of the really cool things is that Harry approached me and kind of made it clear that he was a fan of what we were doing,” Stokey-Daley said in a 2024 interview with British Vogue. “And, of course, I’m a big fan of his.”

The “Watermelon Sugar” artist has since taken a minority stake in the brand, so seeing him front and center at the show wasn’t really a shock. Sitting alongside other industry titans, Styles wore a dark navy shirt decorated with a white fruit punnet on the left chest. He layered it over the Cochrane Vest (an iconic piece that first appeared in summer 2022) and stepped into a pair of complementary dark blue pants.

It’s classic SS Daley, really. It’s very British country. It’s very rural England. It’s very nostalgic. So when we saw the Vans Authentic sneakers on his feet, we were a little stunned. With their sturdy canvas construction and shiny metal eyelets, over the years the silhouette has become something of a symbol of rebellion, aligned with the skateboarding and surfing subcultures. But while it strays a little further from the London brand’s original inspiration, it still works extremely well.

And that’s why we all love SS Daley. It’s a seriously good menswear that’s really designed to be worn, whether it’s with a pair of gorgeous suede loafers or, well, some cult skate sneakers.
