It may have been the international break, but there’s still a lot going on with Liverpool.

Contractual situations, an unhappy player and, of course, injuries have dominated the Reds’ picture, and the media will have the chance to ask Liverpool manager Arne Slot about it this morning.

Slot will speak to the media at around 09:00 BST ahead of his side’s return to action in a home game against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

In terms of contractual situations, talks have been dominated by negotiations for right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, defender Virgil van Dijk and striker Mohamed Salah, who are all expected to leave next summer.

Alexander-Arnold is yet to reveal much about his situation, but Van Dijk has said he wants to sign a new contract while on international duty with the Netherlands.

Salah said after the club’s 3-0 win over Manchester United in their last game that no one at Liverpool had spoken to him about a new deal before reports emerged that he wanted to extend his stay at Anfield.
