Dan James: Leeds update ahead of Burnley clash

Leeds United are set to be boosted by the return of Dan James when they take on Burnley on Saturday (September 14).

The winger missed out on representing Wales during the current international break due to a minor knock.

According to Leeds Live, Daniel Farke is optimistic the 26-year-old will be available for the next Championship game.

James was unavailable for Leeds’ 2-0 win against Hull City, but otherwise he has started every league game so far.

The Welsh international opened his scoring against Sheffield Wednesday, netting in a 2-0 win.

His return will be a welcome boost for the Whites considering they face stiff opposition from Burnley, who sit just one point behind the West Yorkshire giants.

Leeds United could be looking to add Dan James

James’ pace and crossing ability will be something Farke will want to rely on, even if he is from the bench.

The right winger has made more appearances for Leeds than any other club he has played for, playing 89 times for the Championship side.

During his time at Elland Road, he scored 18 goals and provided 12 assists, providing a constant attacking threat for the club.

James is not the only player expected to return to the squad for this weekend’s game when club football returns.

Patrick Bamford should also be an option after a difficult start to the season due to injury problems.
