Nottingham city works planned for this week

Roadworks planned in Nottingham city for week commencing 9th September.

  • Wednesday 31 July – Thursday 5 September: Road closure in Sherwin Road, Lenton and Wollaton East, from Sherwin Road to outside the recreation area for Cadent gas factory
  • Monday, August 5 – Monday, September 30: Road closures and parking suspensions Wells Road, in addition to the closure of Kildare Road, Querneby Road and Mission Street for gas plants
  • Monday, August 12 – Friday, September 27: Road closure in Bestwood Road, Bulwell, between Gee Tee and 161 Bestwood Road signs for Severn Trent waterworks
  • Monday, August 19 – Friday, December 20: 2-Way Lights On Abbotsford Drive between Teak Close and Church Road for works on the subway structure
  • Friday 30 August – Friday 6 September 9:30am – 3:30pm: Lane Closure Western Boulevard between Crown Island and Aspley Lane for tree pruning work
  • Sunday 1 – Sunday 8 September: Lane closure and pedestrian diversion on Shakespeare Street outside the YMCA Nottingham for roofing works
  • Monday 2 – Tuesday 17 September: Multidirectional signs on junction of Ransom Road and Caunton Avenue for the Cadent gas plant, which is expected to operate mainly in off-peak periods
  • Monday 2 September – Sunday 1 November: Suspension of the reining path at the rear of Hawksley Gardens, Clifton West, from its intersection with Yew Tree Lane, continuing southwards to its intersection with Fox Covert Lane for construction works
  • Wednesday 4 – Friday 6 September 8am – 5pm: 3-way lights at the junction of Queens Bower Road and Robbie Burns Road for pole installation
  • Friday, September 6, 9:30 am to 3 pm: Temporary 4-way traffic lights in junction of Porchester Road with Carlton Road and Cardale Road for traffic pole repairs
  • Friday 6 – Saturday 7 September 10pm – 6am: Road closure between Robins Woods Road and Western Boulevard for resurfacing
  • Friday 6 – Saturday 7 September 10pm – 6am: Lane Closure Queens Drive between Castle Bridge Road and Water Street West for resurfacing
  • Monday 9 – Friday 13 September 9:30am – 3:30pm: Lane Closure Middleton Avenue for tree pruning work
  • Friday 13th – Sunday 15th September: Road closures and no stopping during entry to NTU as follows:

Gill Street – Road closure along its entire length and no stopping at all times in all parking spaces on both sides.

Hampden Street – Road closure from Dryden Street to Peel Street and no stopping at any time along the entire length of Hampden Street, all parking spaces on both sides.

Dryden Street – Implement one-way arrangement between Peel Street and Dundas Close, No stopping at all times in all parking spaces on both sides between Peel Street and Dundas Close.

Peel Street – No stopping at all times along the entire length of Peel Street from the junctions of Waverley Street, Goldsmith Street, Clarendon Street to Addison Street on both sides.

Clarendon Street – No stopping at all times along Peel Street from the junctions of Waverley Street, Goldsmith Street, Peel Street to Chaucer Street on both sides.

  • Saturday 14 September 9:30am – 3:30pm: 3-way lights on Woodbank Drive in Wollaton for Severn Trent waterworks
  • Saturday 21 September 22:01 – Sunday 22 September 8:45: Road closure at level crossing Colwick Road, Dales for inspection of level crossings
  • Sunday 29 September 00:01 – 7:30: Road closure at level crossing Colwick Road, Dales for inspection of level crossings
  • Monday, September 30 – Sunday, December 1: Road closure in Elmswood Gardens Sherwood, at the junction with Mansfield Road for Cadent gas factory
  • Until March 31, 2025: Suspension of parking spaces and partial road closure in Kent Street, St Ann’s for construction works
  • Until Thursday, July 31, 2025: Road closure on an extension of Denman Street East, Radford, between Highhurst Street and Thackery Streetfor development works
  • By Thursday, July 31, 2025: Road closure on Thackeray Street and suspension of parking spaces on Denman Street East, Highurst Street and Boden Street for new development
