Old Manchester United striker Wout Weghorst was involved in a heated confrontation with Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber during a Netherlands training session on Sunday.

Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman was forced to intervene when Weghorst was angered by a taunt from Timber during the game.

The two players exchanged a few words, while Weghorst continued to complain to Koeman about Timber’s introduction.

Koeman, trying to act as a peacemaker, replied: “I said something to you, I said something to them.”

But with Weghorst still expressing his displeasure at Timber’s introduction, Koeman was heard shouting: “And now it’s over!”

Weghorst was also seen laughing cynically as Timber’s twin brother Quinten hit him from behind.
