Red Telephone Shares Introspective And Compelling Track “Delay The New Day”

Multi-instrumental quintet from Cardiff Red phone build on their signature blend of melodic psychedelia and darkwave on their upcoming second album Postpone the new day. Led by the intricate stylings of the title track, the band showcases a glimpse into their expansive and cohesive artistry.

Delving into themes of indulgence and hedonistic distraction, the introspective and seductive anthem is driven by the quintet’s delicate yet powerful multi-instrumental musicianship.

Framed by catchy melodies and poignant lyricism, the track reveals the album’s central theme, weaving together the journey and challenges of being a creative. Speaking about the project, they say: “It’s about the paranoia, doubt and dissolution that comes with the territory of striving and trying to carve out a path where you hope to survive with what you love to do. Even the songs on the album that aren’t directly about that still connect to the theme, for example, Delay the New Day, which is about indulgence and hedonistic distraction at the expense of creation.”

Comprised of two sets of brothers alongside their first full-time drummer, Red Telephone, who have consistently made their mark on the alternative scene with their potent and innovative artistry, continue to build towards ever-increasing success.
