Summer camp gives students a chance to learn about the film industry

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Kids attending a unique summer camp in Birmingham have gotten some hands-on experience in the magic of making movies.

On The Set Summer Film Camp allows a group of students the chance to learn all about the film industry, from production to acting, lighting, and management.

The kids get a chance to direct, film, and act in a movie during the week-long camp, but the highlight is getting mentored by a real Hollywood star.

This year that star is Elise Neal who has been in film, TV sitcoms, commercials, and production.

The camp started on July 16 and wraps up Friday, July 26.
