Two men arrested after motorbike theft in Edinburgh city centre

Edinburgh police have arrested two men over the theft of a motorbike in the city centre.

Officers responded to a call in the early hours of this morning.

The men were charged and remanded in custody to appear in court.

Police thanked the public for their help.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “In the early hours of this morning, officers responded to a report of two men stealing a motorbike in central Edinburgh.

“Two people have been charged in connection and remanded in custody to appear in court.

“We would like to thank the public who assisted the police officers present.

“We would also urge anyone with concerns or information about antisocial motorcyclist behaviour or crime involving motorcyclists in their area to get in touch.

“This can be done online, by calling 101 or through Crimestoppers.
