Scout’s FPL Game Week 7 to Watch

Scout’s FPL Game Week 7 to Watch

Scout is predicting five players for big success in week 7 of the 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League before Saturday 11am BST deadline.

Matheus Cunha (Wolves) £6.5m

The Wolverhampton Wanderers striker looks a strong overall prospect at Brentford this weekend.

Cunha has scored two goals in five starts this season, including a goal in his last away game against Aston Villa.

The Brazilian’s underlying statistics show his great influence on his team’s attack.

Cunha’s 16 shots and 11 shots in the box are the team’s best totals and show his goal-scoring potential. His nine key passes are also more than any other Wolves player and indicate he is the most likely to provide an assist.

Brentford’s defensive numbers add further encouragement to Cunha’s prospects. The team has not conceded a goal this season and conceded 73 shots in the box, the second highest number in the league.

Dominic Solanke (Spurs) £7.6m

Tottenham Hotspur’s summer signing is in improved form ahead of his visit to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Solanke scored both goals this season in the last two matches against Brentford and Manchester United.

The striker’s number of big chances – situations in which the player is expected to score – is particularly impressive. Although Solanke has only played four of the first six weeks of play, his eight big chances are TWICE the total of any teammate.

Remarkably, Solanke converted 50 per cent of his big chances at AFC Bournemouth last season, compared to just 25 per cent this time around.

If he can get his finishing skills back to last campaign’s record level, Solanke could be a great option for the coaches’ forward line in the coming game weeks.

Five of the Spurs’ next eight games scored just two on the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR).

Leandro Trossard (Arsenal) £6.9m

The Belgian has recently profited from an advanced central role due to an injury to the Arsenal ace Martin Odegaard (£8.2m).

Playing alongside Kai Havertz (£8.2m) against Leicester City last weekend, Trossard achieved a season-high 12 points thanks to a goal and an assist in the 4-2 victory.

He continued his fine form by helping Havertz open the goal in the Gunners’ 2-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

Costing just £6.9m in Fantasy, Trossard has the form and games to offer managers a short-term option in midfield, with Arsenal hosting bottom-placed Southampton this weekend before of visiting Bournemouth in week 8.

Marcos Senesi (AFC Bournemouth) £4.8m

The Bournemouth centre-back offers great potential on both sides of the pitch against Leicester.

Senesi’s great threat from corners and free kicks helped him score four goals and five assists last season.

Leicester, meanwhile, have struggled to defend in such situations – in fact, they have conceded the league’s highest total of 25 headed shots and 37 set pieces this campaign.

The Foxes’ attacking numbers also look encouraging for Senesi’s chances of keeping a clean sheet at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester produced just 52 shots, also ranking bottom after the first six weeks of play.

Tomas Soucek (West Ham) £5.0m

The West Ham United star remains a forgotten player in Fantasy ahead of their home match against Ipswich Town.

Despite scoring and collecting 10 points against Brentford in the last match, Soucek can be found in less than three percent of teams.

Soucek’s 13 shots from the box are not only the best total on the team, but also place him fifth among all Fantasy midfielders.

Ipswich, meanwhile, have struggled defensively at the start of the season since their promotion. They conceded 22 big chances, second only to Leicester’s 25.
