Scottish Rugby extends partnership with Macron

As a result, the Macron Hero logo will continue to appear on the jerseys of Scotland’s national teams, the two Scottish professional clubs (Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby), their youth and age-group teams and referees after 2030.

The relationship was established 15 years ago, when Macron announced his first agreement with Scottish rugby and became technical partner of Edinburgh Rugby. The Italian brand became Scottish Rugby’s official technical partner in 2013. Since then, the relationship between the two organizations has become one of the strongest and most productive in the world of rugby. The ties go far beyond the technical partnership itself, they are characterized by respect and friendship and develop with each passing year and with the achievement of many prestigious results.

The collaboration also covers the management of the official Scottish Rugby store at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium, along with the sale of merchandise for Scotland, Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby games. Macron also runs Scottish Rugby’s official online store.

This long-term partnership has allowed us to continuously plan, develop, research and innovate. Macron has been able to provide players, staff and fans with sustainable, high-performance sportswear with a refined, modern design that embodies the identity of the national team and its associated clubs and expresses a sense of pride in the nation’s colors. .

Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron, explains: “Our relationship with the Scottish Rugby Union is an extremely important part of our company’s recent history. This latest renewal confirms the strength of the bonds between us that, over the years, have allowed us to grow together and also the entire Scottish rugby movement. We have been able to look to the future and develop projects increasingly inspired by the spirit and values of this splendid sport. We are proud to have partnered with Scottish Rugby for many years, to accompany Scottish national teams and clubs in prestigious national and international competitions and to provide technical sportswear that is unbeatable in terms of innovation, style and design.”

Scottish Rugby Limited chairman John McGuigan said: We are very lucky to have such a great and established relationship with our friends at Macron. I had the pleasure of meeting Gianluca in Edinburgh and hearing all about his ambitions for the brand and investment in his Bologna Campus.

“Macron has been a positive partner to Scottish rugby for many years and I am pleased that we have agreed to extend that relationship further.”
