Tips for New York Jets fans on traveling around the city of London

The New York Jets will play the Minnesota Vikings in London at the start of Week 5 on Sunday, and British fans are in for a treat.

The Jets and Vikings will try to put on a show in Week 5 for international NFL fans, and this game is one of the best matchups there has ever been in Europe. While both teams are playoff contenders, it will also have the added history of New York playing its former quarterback.

Sam Darnold is off to an incredible start for Minnesota this season, as the team is 4-0, and he looks like an MVP candidate. Despite being one of New York’s top picks, the talented quarterback didn’t work out with them.

With the game across the pond, many fans will make the trip, similar to when the York Jets faced the Atlanta Falcons a few years ago. Just like when traveling to a road game in America, it’s important to be prepared for what the best method of transportation is.

Fortunately, renting a car won’t be necessary if you plan to stay in and around the city of London. Just like in New York City, there are many options for getting around.

Here are some tips for Jets fans traveling to watch their team in London on how to get around the beautiful city.

Get the tube! If you can handle the New York subway, you can navigate the subway, but be careful with the gap!

Take a double-decker bus. With several public and private tourist buses to choose from, why not combine the tour with a guided hop on hop off tour to take you from one part of the city to another.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where the Jets face the Vikings, is not in central London, but about 8 miles away. Like MetLife Stadium, it is not in downtown New York. The best ways to get to the stadium from London are by train (25 minutes), bus (45 minutes), taxi/car (20 minutes).

With many people expected to be at the game, be sure to allow some extra time to navigate your preferred mode of transportation.

For Jets fans who make the trip and have experience traveling in the Tri-State area, using public transportation in London should be fairly easy.
