Journalist reveals Arne Slot’s great concern with one of Jurgen Klopp’s latest signings for the club

Arne Slot showed faith in his player despite a series of inconsistent performances.

A new report has revealed a major concern Arne Slot may have about one of Jurgen Klopp’s latest signings as Liverpool manager.

The former Feyenoord manager has had a promising start to life at Anfield so far. Since his arrival, Slot has seen his team win all but one game, a shock home defeat against Nottingham Forest.

The impressive run of results has lifted Liverpool to the top of the Premier League, despite Arsenal and Manchester City being many people’s favorites to win the league.

On Wednesday night, Slot will turn his attention to the Champions League visit of Bologna, who Liverpool will face in what will be the Dutchman’s first European game at Anfield since arriving on Merseyside.

Despite his near-perfect record, there is one player that many fans think could improve.

Journalist James Pearce stated that midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai could improve his game, saying: “Slot recently spoke about how he thought Szoboszlai needed to contribute more in the final third, I think rightly so, he stated that for an attacking midfielder, what was that, three goals in the Premier League last season?

“That’s really not enough when you play for a team like Liverpool who dominate possession and create a lot,” when speaking on the Walk On podcast.

The former RB Leipzig player joined Liverpool during the summer of 2023 and showed some early signs of promise with several brilliant performances. But towards the end of last season, his performances were inconsistent, which led to him being criticized by fans and the media.

The Hungarian has played a more advanced ‘number 10’ role in recent weeks in the new Slot system, even scoring the third goal in the 3-1 victory over AC Milan at San Siro in the first round of the Champions League.

His contributions in the Premier League have been less impressive, however, with the midfielder failing to score and providing just one assist in six league games so far this season.

The 23-year-old is expected to start in the Reds’ European clash against Bologna at Anfield on Wednesday night, with fellow striker Federico Chiesa set to miss out after appearing to miss open training on Tuesday. fair. First-choice left-back Andrew Robertson is expected to return despite concerns over his fitness after limping away from Wolves. Darwin Nunez could also play against the Italians after recovering from a suspected illness.
