Josh Adams: Cardiff winger in Wales autumn fitness race

Josh Adams: Cardiff winger in Wales autumn fitness race

“We hope to sign him at some point in this block, but he’s traveling in the right direction,” Sherratt said.

When asked if he would have to play for Cardiff before being considered for Wales, Sherratt replied: “That will be up to the Welsh selectors when he is ready.

“Sometimes a second line or a last line can come back at 90%, but with wings in particular, when their attributes are based on power and speed, it’s very difficult to come back unless you’re 100%.

“Josh has been playing at 90% for a long time, so it’s important for him that when he comes back he’s 100% ready.

“I hope that happens before the end of this block and if he comes back he will be in contention for Wales because he is a quality player.

“But I also know that for Josh, we looked after him, he’s had a summer to recover and he wants to repay the favour to Cardiff.

“Josh’s priority will be to play for Cardiff and then play for Wales after that.”
